“Layla Welsh, owner of French Grey Tales, is a creator and painter and can be found creating fabulousness at her flagship store in Morpeth, Northumberland. Layla started her business with just £100 and has overcome adversity to grow her business out of her kitchen and into a flourishing store – all whilst juggling hospital appointments and two small children. Layla is one of our Be Digital ambassadors and is currently looking to franchise her shabby chic business across the UK.”
Following many recommendations after a shout out on Facebook, the Be Digital team got in touch with Layla Welsh of French Grey Tales to arrange to meet up. All of our fingers were crossed that Layla would accept our invitation to be Northumberland’s Be Digital Ambassador. Very happily, after a couple of emails and a coffee in Morpeth, Layla said yes – and not only that, she agreed to be one of our special guest speakers at our Be Digital launch event at Alnwick Gardens in September. Layla, truly we cannot thank you enough – you are wonderful and we are very proud to have you as our ambassador.
Shortly after Layla said yes, we arranged for Rachel of RJM Photography, our talented Be Digital photographer, to meet up with Layla to take some photos of Layla at her amazing treasure trove of a shop in Morpeth, for sharing on our website ahead of the launch event. Once Layla’s told us more of her story at our Be Digital launch event we’ll get back together with her for another cup of coffee, to have a natter and then share more of Layla’s story here.
